The West: Our Own Worst enemy

Only foolish westerners work against their own self interests to empower their own enemies. Even Israels "friends" such as the US, France, Britain, etc. work against the MidEasts Only Democracy to weaken it through pieces of paper in exchange for a militarily undefendable Israel. Have we seen the Arab League take similar steps, even token steps, to work against the endemic corruption and brutality of their own regimes? No. If this were the case, every country would be at least or around Moroccos level of progress and there would be no "Arab Spring," Just a relatively stable MidEast working toward a better tommorow. No My friends, alas, the Arabs laugh at us. "Let the US and Britain handle Israel, it will free us up more time to count our oil money and crush any token opposition to our brutal, misogynist, sexist, murderous policies. Life is Good. Pro-Palestinian activist murdered by Palestinians

Recently, an anti-Israel Italian activist by the name of Vittorio Arrlgoni was murdered by the very people he was trying to help, the Palestinians; Gazans in particular. Arrlgonia even compared "Israeli crimes against Palestinians" to Nazi crimes. Additionally, he was twice arrested by Israeli authorities.

Newsflash: If you want to help Muslims on their turf, there is a good chance you will in fact be killed by Muslims (e.g. the 12 UN aid workers killed in Afghanistan in response to some dingbat in Florida burning a Koran , Pakistan Islamists killing of aid workers and Journalists, Irans indefinite detaining of 3 anti-Israel/ anti-American students at the border with Kurdistan, The Talibans murdering of 10 aid workers last year, 42 aid workers killed in Somalia in 2008 etc. The UN even declared Pakistan and Afghanistan unsafe for aid workers with over 100 killed yearly.)

Try helping the poor in the US, or even Israel. It will be appreciated, and you will be able to live to tell about it. No good deed for Islamists goes unpunished.

G-d bless the Fogel family

Media outlets around the world were abuzz about this gruesome murder, a whole family was murdered with knives in their sleep, a wife, a husband, an 11 year old, a 4 year old, and a 3 month old. The murder was committed by Palestinian terrorists. Over 20 Palestinians have been arrested in connection with this monstrous, unspeakable crime, including an intelligence officer of the Palestinian Authority.

However, the victims of this heinous crimes were only occasionally referred to as "victims", they were for the most part referred to as "settlers," seemingly attempting to somehow whitewash the crimes, even though the butchering of an innocent family and three small children can never explained through a political lense, which goes along with much of the violence against civillians the Palestinians perpetrate.

But lets think about this term 'settlers' for a moment. What about all the Muslim Settlers of Pakistan? in 1947 Muslims carved out a nice piece of India and sent millions of Hindus on their way and killed another 500,000 of them. They named it "pakistan." No reparations for them? No Land for peace deal? Why? because Hindus are peaceful. Peaceful enough to get on with their lives and rebuild and not hold onto violence and victimhood like a warm blanket. Lets reward people for hideous inhuman behavior, Land for peace horray!

What about the entire population of California and Texas? This land was taken from the Mexicans by war. the USA was hardly under any existential threats, but we took the territory through corrupt politics and careful control of the media by William Randolph Hearst through "yellow journalism". Im not even getting started about the USAs systematic brutality, land annexation, and the de-facto genocide of the American Indian. Yet the government of the US, Israels closest friend, even before Barack Obama, refused to recognize Judea and Samaria and Gaza as part of the Jews ancestral homeland. The US wouldnt/will not even recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel!!

Australia, and New Zealand, and Canada, and most of south America, and most countries on this earth have been outrightly stolen from its indigenous inhabitants. The modern Egyptian day stole the land of Egypt from the Black African Copts, and the modern day Syrian stole that piece of land from the Native Assyrians. However Israel was not stolen from anybody. The Land of Israel is and has always been the land of the Jews. It was thousands of years ago, and within the last 130 years (yes long before the holocaust) it was rebuilt by Jews who wanted nothing more than to live in their own land and live in peace and harmony with their Arab neighbours.

Israel was declared a legal state by one of the first UN Resolutions in 1948, and by the Balfour declaration some 20+ years before. This was denied by a war of extermination of 5 Arab armies, a war that perpetually continues, just not with bullets on the battlefield. It is continued by butchering families and small children while they sleep. It is continued by opening fire on a car with innocent pregnant women inside. It is continued by firing over 10,000 rockets into civillian territory. It is continued by denying Israels very legitimacy,

Even the Obama administration declared the settlements illegitimate, just not illegal. This idea has become a cancer that has even infected very pro-Israel public figures like Charles Krauthammer and Alan Dershowitz. The time to stop this charade is now. Annex the West Bank, take back Gaza, and declare these as lands of Israel proper, enough is enough. Deport any Palestinians with any problems with this. The world and our president is still skeptical of Israel, and asks Jewish leaders to search their hearts if Netanyahu is sincere about peace, even after an unprecedent 10+ month freeze in building settlements, even after returning Gaza only to be thanked with 10,000 rockets and mortars, even after supporting a two-state solution and Palestinian aspirations for their own state. Even after the Palestinians in response to these concessions will not even stop their incitement and glorification of terrorists, which in all likelihood set up a breeding ground for these unspeakable attacks.

The world will be perpetually angry with Israel if the West Bank is annexed (they already are) but at least they will respect Israel. Strength, not just on the battlefield, is something the world and President Obama respect. President Karzai of Afghanistan said he was willing to join forces with the Taliban soon before a beautiful dinner with President Obama. Strength. Indifference to criticism. Do it. The American people are behind you.

The New Middle East

Despite all the brouhaha over the protests in Bahrain, Egypt, Tunisia, and to a lesser extent Iran, a huge revolution has taken place in Lebanon, at the perfect time for Hezbollah. A UN Tribunal was right about to indict high ranking officials of Hezbollah in the suicide-bombing murder of Rafik Hariri (former prime minister of Lebanon) in 2005. Hezbollah pulled out of the government, causing the government to collapse, and through intimidation, has put in place it's own puppet Najib Mikati as prime minister of Lebanon. Now there are no more illusions, Lebanon has officially thrown its lot in with the Iranian axis. And with Iran losing its grip over power and control of its own people, the Ayatollahs may be looking for a way to deflect attention from themselves and consolidate its power by uniting all Muslims in the Middle East on the one and only issue they agree on: Israel. I, and all supporters of Israel, have full faith that Israel will out last every last one of these cruel and murderous regimes, but we are all concerned that Israel will be forced to be the West's canary in the coal mine once again.

Even though all the events in the Mid East in recent weeks completely disprove the notion of the Middle Ages Jew to Israel, i.e. that all the woes of the Mid East can be eased by signing a meaningless peace agreement with the Palestinians, The Obama administration still felt it neccesary to say that America finds Israels settlements illegitimate. We should all look to Israel with great awe and respect; here is a country, that has had to fight for its very survival since its inception, the fact there is even a notion that Israel would give back land won in defensive wars speaks volumes about the kind nature of Israel (and i live in california and my cousins in texas, stolen from Mexico, not for defense but expansion) . And this is no notion, Israel has returned Gaza and has been thanked by thousands upon thousands of rockets and mortars on the Israeli civillian population. And the US response? Settlements are illegitimate. Give the Arabs more land to launch rockets from.

At this point, when autocratic dictators friendly to the US are being ousted with quickness, leaving such uncertainties to the future of said countries, this is the time when the US should realize that Israel is truly our only real friend in the region, all the rest of the friends of the US are not the Arabs, but a single cruel dictator who can be ousted at anytime.

I think the citizens of the USA, and even most politicians, liberal and conservative, do realize this. However, Obamas hard-headed approach toward Israel does not allow reality to see the light of day.

I think we can honestly say that Obama will never learn when it comes to the Middle East.

If after all these events, the Obama Administration still cant stop its antagonistic approach toward Israel, their truly is no hope. Israel must do what it needs to do. Obama will be in office for 5 more years at most, but the American people and its leaders will always be eternal supporters of Israel.

Side NOTE:

I hate Arab autocrats as much as the next guy, but when the Iranian people protested in June of 2009, Obama looked the other way for the sake of 'engagement.' When Egypt started to protest, Obama threw Mubarak under the bus faster than you can say 'Tahrir Square.'

What message is this sending to the world?

The Middle Ages Jew

The press in Israel has been repeating a certain motif I found scarily interesting. Israel has now become the Middle-Ages Jew, where all the troubles in the world (Islamic Terrorism and Middle East woes) are blamed on him. Even the President of the United States, in one form or another, believes in the lie.

Nearly all of his Middle East Policy focuses on one thing: the removal of West Bank settlements. By shoving a peace deal down Israels throats that is full of security gaps, the lie says, peace will magically brought not only to Israel but to the entire region. Leaving out the obvious holes in this idea that Hezbollah and Hamas will continue to operate with impunity against Israel, leaving Israel without land and still without peace, many of the hugest problems of this troubled region HAVE OR HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ISRAEL. Examples:

-The bloody 8 year war between Iran and Iraq.

-The 1982 Hama massacre perpetrated by the Syrian army, where over 40,000 were killed in a period of a few months. (Fighting, ironically, the Muslim brotherhood)

-Saddam Husseins mustard gassing of Kurds that claimed 188,000 Kurdish lives.

-The occupation of Cypress by Turkey.

-Turkeys 'terror war' against the Kurds which has claimed 37,000 Lives since 1984

-The Arab Muslim Janjaweed massacre of over 300,000 Black Africans and rapes of scores of Black African women.

-Sectarian violence between Sunni & Shia, not only in Iraq.

-The Armenian Genocide perpetrated by Turkey, a so-called democracy, which will not even do the dead the justice of admitting there was a genocide. This genocide claimed the lives of 1 million or more Armenians.

-The US-led Gulf War in 1991 to bail out Kuwaiti oil autocrats, which left Israel at the mercy of Saddams SCUDD missiles which then president George H. W. Bush forbade Israel to respond to. ("Sit tight Israel, while we protect Kuwaiti and Saudi oil interests." ) In this war, Holocaust survivors in Israel were forced by the threats of Saddam to wear gas masks, to once again relive the horror of awaiting a chemical attack against their bretheren.

Would all these transgressions and their root problems magically disappear in the case of a forced peace which allows YET ANOTHER Iranian proxy on the border of Israel?

The Fires

Three days ago, a tragedy occurred here and in Israel. A young guy, two years older than me, from our shul died from prescription drugs, and a terrible fire started in northern Israel where 41 Israelis have already lost their lives.

I pray to G-d to give Israel the superhuman strength and ability to put out the fires and  my prayers go out to all the families who have lost someone. We have frequent fires in California, but Baruch Hashem, usually very few people, if any, die.

The Saga of the captured Hikers in Iran

Three American hikers: Sarah Shourd, Shane Bauer, and Josh Fattal all 'accidentally' crossed the border of Kurdistan into Iran. After over a year, The Iranians released one of the so called "enemy spies" Sarah Shourd, on humanitarian grounds plus $500,000 reported by ABC news about two months ago.

A dime should not be spent to free these morons. Sarah Shourd wrote an article sympathizing with Syrian attacks on Jews (http://news.newamericamedia.org/news/view_article.html?article_id=e276b8706a88aca9e3a98dbbd5526d1d)

All these far left loony terror lovers got a taste of their own medicine when they crossed into Iran.

I'll bet the first thing they asked after their arrest was; can I have my right to a phone call? Habeus Corpus? The authorities in Iran probably let them in on the fun after they had a few laughs.

Israel and the US may be far from perfect, but even at our worst, we have freedoms that are pretty enviable, ESPECIALLY to those who live in the mideast. Two of the hikers chose to live in Syria over the US.

We should let them fulfill their dream of co-existing in the Muslim Middle East. Too bad theyll be in prison doing it
